I am thinking of taking my stock tranny pan and having a drain plug installed.

I have a B&M drain plug that I can use. The instructions say to drill a hole and then install the threaded side of the plug thru 1 hole and secure it with the supplied nut on the other side of the pan.

I am wondering if I could do this and then have the nut tack welded? I'm sure it's possible but was wondering if it could be done as to not leak?

Or what would you recommend I do to install a transmission pan plug in the stock pan?

Yes its a good idea i have put the B@M drain pug on my car it makes a tranny service mach beater and a lot cleaner
