Can any problems with the transmission, cause a car to feel like the engine has no power at all? The engine runs perfect, but will not even do a brake stand or spin the tires from a stop, very low power in any gear, but especially from a stop. It shifts normally, lockup is not working at all.

I replaced the torque converter last year with a rebuilt one, because I thought that was the problem. I thought that it had no stall at all. That and lockup not working (diagnosed the electrical as being fine). It led us to believe that the converter was bad, however it acts the same with the new converter, except that under normal light acceleration from a stop it revs up a bit more before going because it has a 2400 stall now.

One tech at work said low line pressure can make a car feel really doggy, but I'm trying to wrap my head around it.

Thanks for any help.
