I want to buy an aftermarket supercharger pulley. The only mod's I have so far are a cold air intake & removed resonator. Is it necessary to buy a scan tool when I buy the pulley so I can get a knock retard reading? Also, which pulley should I go with, 3.4 or 3.5?

Heres where to start. These are in the order I would do them in.

-Intake (CAI, FWI, 9" open cone)

-T-stat (drilled 180* is good)

-U-bend delete (big restriction in the exhaust, right before the resonator where the rear 02 sensor is located. Youll also need an O2 sensor simulator. It just plugs right in, and dissconect your battery for a few minutes to clear the code. Thats after the U-bend replacement is installed)

-3.4" pulley

-Plugs (AutoLite 104's gapped at .055")

-PCM (Digital Horsepower V.1.0 works very well)

-3" DP (not neccessary for this set-up, but it will help out)

All this info is assuming you have the L67 motor (GTP, Regal GS, Monte SS). Hope this helps. Let me if you need any links to some websites to buy your parts!!

Edit: If you have all the supporting mods done when youre running a smaller pulley, KR shouldnt be a problem. I would buy a scanner/tuner anyways. Look for the DHP Powrtuner, or the HP Tuners. If you do buy one of those, you dont need to buy the reprogrammed PCM, since you can program it yourself!!
