Here Claude !! (thanks again)
Ok, that definitely is an '86 and older style track (steel tracks with 1 motor mated to a big plastic "transmission"). Like I said in one of my earlier posts, it will fit in your GN but parts for it are not interchangeable with the later '87 style track (aluminium tracks with three separate motors), but as long as it works, you'll be fine. (y) If the plastic cased transmission fails, Gbodyparts.com carries a replacement for it.
Good luck with your installation, and feel free to ask if you have more questions, it'll be my pleasure to help! ;)

Claude. :)

Thanks ta NO END Sir !! *I'll order my side panel (as to accommodate the switch panel)
and aside of a little wiring / so on, ... I'm ALL SET RIGHT ?

Hi Claude, Well I just got a "G Body power conversion cover" (from G Body parts) and IC no place that this "cover" will mount !

I don't have no kid here to show you any pics (of that cover) but on that same cover, their are 3 points in which to mount it, and again
IC no place to secure that same cover. IOW on the power seat track (sitting in front of me on the Bench) ... on it's "frame" or "boss", theirs again, NO PLACE to mount the plate and be done with it all.

"Getting frustrated" .... *Boy I've had a belly full of it all* !!

PLEASE can you advise me Claude ? AGAIN: "a thousand thanks".

Hmmm…I have a little difficulty following you here…and it's a little hard to understand everything without any pictures. Also, what are "IC" and "IOW" ?? Sorry but I'm a little "old school" and don't always understand all these abbreviations!…:wacky: If you'd like give me your phone number and I could always give you a call to help you…

Claude. ;)

IC = "I see" ... IOW: "in other words". ;- ) *** I just took the manual seat out of the 87 as we "speak" and I'm looking at it more NOW.

"I'm old school too" ... BUT: a pictures worth a thousand words !! I'll try an see just actually what I need to do *and if you wouldn't mind, I'll "let ya know" OK ?

Thanks again Sir,
Tom ;- )

Thanks to Claude I'm all set ! *all I need now are the "cover-up" COVERS
(that cover the seat tracks "guts")

Thanks !!

Did you get the cover from g-body parts to work out for you? I have added the power seat track to my seats (out of a Monte SS), and I am going to need to get the side cover to mount the switch.

Yeah it did, but the thing took a little "finagling" too get it too fit ...
(The holes were molded a little off).
