Will a 3.8 engine from a 1987 Buick Lesabre replace the 3.8 in my 1987 Grand National?

The rear wheel drive engine is designated as a 3.8L and the front wheel drive engine is designated as a 3800. Buick did you this because they're not interchangeable.

Some people have used the roller lifters and spider to convert the rwd block to roller cam like the fwd. If you do a search you can see how it's done. IMHO, not worth the effort to try to use the stock parts to retrofit.
