when i post pictures (jpeg format), the site compresses them down to 600X800 size. it seems like a year or so ago that it didn't do that,...if the pics where above a certain size, it just wouldn't accept them, so i would downsize them till they'd pass. i'm guessing it does that to save site bandwith or keep us from posting annoying mega size pics, which would make sense.
when i try to post a pic taken with a really high pixel camera, they get compressed so much that the quality of the picture suffers pretty bad. i know that may sound dumb, but in the particular nature of pics that i want to put up, (buick/babe thread
)... i'd like to keep the pic quality high or i don't think it would be worth the bother. i've just barely been able to keep it on the edge of not looking so pixelated with the last couple pics i've recently posted. and its a shame cause the original size of those pics look way better.
is there a differant format that i can change them over to, so they can be put up larger and look better? or is there a way to put them up in a higher jpeg?
i'm not real computer savy or anything cause i just don't really spend that much time on the net. i don't have a pic hosting site account or anything either, nor would i want to do that anyway.
