Question on Upgraded maf sensor

I just ordered a new maf sensor(LS1) and regular Translator. My question is on the IAT(air temp sensor). Do I just drill a small hole on the coupler between ls1 and filter for the factory IAT sensor and wiring /or do I leave this disconnected(does the Ls1 read the air temp)/or do I get a harness that I think from reading is available from Caspers that plugs to the maf sensor adaptor to use the IAT sensor connected to the LS1 maf adaptor?
I'm thinking just drill a hole in the coupler between LS1 and filter?

I just drilled a hole in the base of my KnN air filter and put some silicone around it to hold it in place , that worked for me . Keith

i believe the turbo tweak doesn't use the iat sensor so you could just zip tie it up somewhere... thats all i did..
