Just a code for a GN 200-4R trannies, has no relavant meaning other than to designate that perticular trans. :D

The only reason I'm asking is that I was browsing the 2004rperformancecenter website and noticed that the core charge for the 2004r is $250 and the BRF is $600. How do I know which trans. is in mine?

On the passanger side of the rear tailshaft housing is a tag if it is still there.

Well, I guess I should direct this question to WE4: The code tag is missing on my trans.(87 Turbo T). Would a non-BRF 2004r trans. core affect the purchase price?

Heheheh
