Quick cooler ?

I mounted a big Hayden stacked plate design cooler in front of my PTE intercooler today. I just cut the threaded ends off of the metal tranny lines and used hose and clamps. I ran a hose from one line to the tranny cooler and then another hose from the other line to the tranny cooler. I'm not using the radiator tranny cooler at all. Does this sound ok? Thanks.

Depends...

General rule of thumb is 2-3 sizes bigger than your intended GVWR when running external cooler only. Personally, I went extreme with a 26,000 GVWR cooler in a car that weighs only 2600lb. Hey, I've always heard from hot rodders and ironically, even my wife... you can't go to big....Just what is she getting at?!?! : )
