I raced him from a punch(I am running 15psi). I left it in 3rd and tried to brake boost my car but couldn't get any boost before the third honk(first time I've tried this) I stayed next to him even with the lag and he pulled slowly and got 2 cars on me and we stayed about there through third, which I'm guessing is about 100mph or so, good old 85mph speedo:( I raced him from a stop, but couldn't build any boost before the third honk, so once again lag. But I stayed with him through first as he didn't hit it until second gear. He pulled me a little bit in second as my car didn't shift real quick this time then the car wouldn't shift into third for a couple seconds so he left me there. The only thing else he had done was flowmaster exhaust.
All in all I considered it a good time even though I lost. I was expecting to beat a stock LS1 and this proved I could do that. Now I just have to wait to get my alky and injectors and then it will be a different outcome. A converter and slicks will follow as money presents itself....and more than likely a tranny rebuild soon:(
If I would have been able to build a little boost how much of a difference would it have made?

what exactly was it? like a camero/ trans am, or an audi A4?

if its the audi you shouldn'thave had any problems beating him (dont' think thats what it was, but you said A4)

Most ls1's dont' stay stock very long. if he realy only had a flowmaster and 75 shot of nitrous you shouldn't of had much of a problem beating him.

i think you have a little more turbo than you need for your combo. get some bigger injectors, that should be the first priority. then worry about a higher still converter.

I've never seen an Audi with an LS1 stuffed in it... I don't think he's talking about racing an Audi ("raced an A4 LS1 with a 75 dry shot "). A4 generally means automatic 4 speed.

I had a nice 98Z28 m6, few mods, nothing major...would run 109-110 in the 1/4...I'm sure with that guy's 75 shot he must not have known how to drive or something...
