It's now 1:32AM....just finished taking off my T66 4 bolt turbo in preparation to sending it back to John to Q trim it. Got to looking at my T88, same input and downpipe size so I put that on....lol. Took me 2 extra hours .... I had a bitch of a time gettin' the damn oil return line connected to the turbo.

Anyway....once done I tried to spool it. Only takes around 6 or 7 seconds to get it up to 5 psi....lol. The 88 just might be a little too big.

Don't care....if he temps come down for this coming weekend I'm agoin' out.

Be interesting to see how it works!
I always take 5-7 seconds to spool up at the line anyway! lol.(j/k)
Around here you can sit at the line with 15psi and the guy controlling the tree will be having a coffee............so i wait for him to start the tree then start to spool her up..........do not want to overheat the converter because of the guy controlling the tree!

It was a good thing that I had that pre-cognition to put your slow-a$$ trophy back up on the WCN site! :D

Chris,

Take Timing out of the cells in which you are trying to spool.
This will cause the exhaust temp to heat up and spool the turbo much faster. You will probably need a conveter with more than 4500 stall.

Let me know how you do!

By the time I get FAST changed, and find where to set the boost, my 4 passes will be over...lol.

I put it on as a lark...dunno how serious I'll be at the track with it. (Temperature allowing as I'm too wussy to stand the heat nowadays.)
