Radiator Fan comes on @ start up?

My radiator fan kicks on when I start my car, is this normal? I thought it shouid only come on @ around 205 degrees, but it comes on even on a cold start.

This is a dumb question but I have to ask...is your A/C switched on?

Actually, that was a good question, but no the ac switch isn't on. How about the fan delay relay gone bad?

Could be. Unplug it from the harness and see what happens. For that matter, any of the three relays may be stuck closed.

Tomorrow morning I'll unplug the relays & see what happens & then post my findings.

fan on startup

I see from your sig that you're running a Jay Carter chip. Jay has his chips set for the fan to come on at start-up, then they shut off at a certain road speed. Normal for a (great) JC chip.

Well, I guess that solves that problem!!! That definetly makes sense , because I just installed the chip this weekend!!!
