My GM daily driver has a power antenna located in trunk which is stuck in up position.
Every time I shut or turn my radio off. I hear the motor running trying to push up or pull down the antenna.

I want to disconnect this but have thought about putting in a manual antenna that I can put down when I go to car wash.

How or what would you use to connect the existing cable to the new antenna cable? DO THEY make some type of fitting that will join them?

Have you looked at it yet? It should just have regular antenna coax with a standard tip, which should fit with any new antenna you buy...

I could be wrong, but from what I've seen, they're the same plug foreign & domestic.

Worse case, you can cut it and splice it if needed - it'll work fine.
