Radio Help

Have not started my car in awhile, it’s been at the shop getting some work done. The radio had been previously working fine. Currently I am getting only static and no light to the radio. This is the original Delco. Any help with be much appreciated!!!

The anttena wire could have come out of the back. Does it have a tape deck? In mine the tape deck was acting up causing static. Turns out there a piece of metal debris in there from the previous owner. Removed the debris, solved my problem. In other gbody cars I habe owned, I have found that the wires in back were never long enough and snagged whenever I pulled on something. Did you try taking the radio out?

Sneezy.. thanks for your reply. I havent had a chance to look into it. I will try taking out the radio, I suspect an anttena conection.

If you have an electric antenna and it does not go up, you won't have any reception, just static…

Check dome and radio fuse. Dome light working?
