Had to replace the battery in my 1999 Bonneville and now the radio does not work and just say's LOC on the display. I have no clue what the previous owner entered for a code to unlock it. Is there some way around it? Or do I have to pay a dealer to fix it? Any help is greatly appreciated, THANKS...

Well, I'll give it a try.

I have heard on another board that there is a default GM code.
It was mentioned that it is 9999.

If it isn't, then either the dealer, or GM can tell you. It shouldn't cost you a dime.

If all else fails, try the GM cares hotline. That should be easy to find. Something like 1-800 PM Cares, for Pontiac I believe.

Good Luck!
