Has anyone ever tried to use the Ram Charger fans in a PUSHER application? I have them on my GN but have another project that the Ram Chargers will be a perfect fit on but will need to be used as pushers instead of puller fans.

I know typically you can reverse the polarity and in affect get the fans to spin in the oppisite direction but before buying the fans and attempting this was wondering if anyone has done it yet.

I'm not a big believer in pusher fans. Running a puller backwards would combine the inefficiency of a pusher with the inefficiency of running fans backwards.

Fans work by creating a low pressure area behind the radiator, which draws air thru.

They don't do a good job creating a high pressure area in front of the radiator and can impede the high pressure area created when driving a car forward.

Most pusher fans aren't shrouded because of restriction to natural airflow this causes.

If your application isn't prone to overheating, it may work, but for a big block in the summer, it will likely overheat.

All that plus the fact that the blades are pitched and twisted to opperate as pullers not pushers. You'd be leaving a ton of efficiency on the table!
