John, yes $550. is expensive...but when you spend over $70,000 for a brand new truck, I seems to me that adding another $500 or so is a small fee to pay to make sure that your vehicle remains yours...

Claude :)

i bought mine off of ebay for 100. the connections are very self explanatory and shoulnt take more than an hour to put it in....its much better than something i could rig up with connectors

"DR BOOST", could you please be more specific as to installing the system?...I have an opportunity to buy one but the only thing I'm concerned with is the installation procedure as I'm told that Ravelco doesn't supply any instructions...any help would be appreciated!
thanks,

Claude

-John Larkin...I just got an estimate for my truck from them at $399.95...NOT $550. ...

-DRBOOST, I inquired about the kits sold on Ebay...The guy selling them used to be a distributor for Ravelco and he's selling the few kits he still has left. He also informed me that he was not sure if Ravelco will honor the warranty if something ever goes wrong as I wouldn't have bought it from one of their authorized dealers..It seems that they're (Ravelco) a little upset that this former distributor is selling them on Ebay.

Claude .

P.S: Anyone else has some experience with Ravelco?...Their system even though simple looks impossible to defeat! :)

$550. Wow.

My car has one. Don't loose the puck or you're....pucked.

Until they send you another one.

"notacarlo", the Ravelco anti-theft device comes with two "plugs", one for each key set for the vehicle. I intend to ask for a third one to keep at home, just in case... I just spoke with Attila Kovacs of Florida Ravelco and we made arrangements to install a Ravelco in my new truck during the time I'll be there on vacation.

Claude

Well...I'm back from my vacation in Florida and the Ravelco system is installed!...I took about two hours to do the job and I think it's worth every penny. I also have a GPS tracking system but this doesn't stop burglars from taking the truck away...the Ravelco does.

Claude
