I have had my kit on my car for a little more than a year and love it to death!

I was out for one last rid in the car yesterday before I put her up for winter :(

When I got on it the car had 0 knock and but the alky inj. lights didnt come on!:confused: When I push the little test botton they come on! :confused:

I got home and the alky is spraying as the tank went down a bit. I checked power and ground all was fine there (Had to be the when you hit the test botton they light up!)

So my question why are they not comming on under boost ?? Is something wrong with kit?? What shoudl I look for?? I checked all the conections and every thing looks to be hooked up ok ( I sodered all the conections so I cant see any of them comming off) :confused:

I am lost I dont want to hurt anything and Like I said its up for winter but I would still like to find the issue. :redface:

Thanks for the help
Derek

Some might say that your Map sensor is suspect as that is what tells the system it is under boost.. I would take a look at that first. Also check to see if power is going to it(MAP sensor) as well.

pac

give us a call at the shop at 9a.m. eastern time.

I had the same problem, it was the master ground on the pump wire.
Everything worked but the light under boost
worked when you pushed the botton
tighten the ground everything is fine now on mine

What ground wire is the master ground the one up by the pump ??
Or the one under the dash??
I think there are 3 grounds are there not??

Derek,
When you hit the test button, your turnon LED and power injection will illuminate. The turnon LED will light RED.. and the PI bulb will glow dimly. If you increase the gain knob to 8 the PI bulb will be brighter.

Now when you get into boost at 5-6 PSI you should see the Turnon LED lite Red and PI bulb illuminate. That is if the internal knobs were not messed with. If the system does not come on at 5-6 PSI put passes the "test button" test, then its a MAP sensor/wiring/connections issue. Refer to sheet included with the system for voltage readings on the MAP.

So far so good..

Now you keep bringing the boost up and when the head of the pump make 30 PSI pressure your turnon LED will change from red to green. Depending on how aggressive your setup is dialed in will determine when this happens. The power injection bulb should progressively get brighter as the boost increases, since its electrically wired in parallel with your pump.

If you lose ground on the pump o-ring.. when you hit the test, the LED will illuminate green.

Thats pretty much it.. need further..call me.. i'm here 60+hours a week

Thanks All the conections look good and like I said the power inj. light and the led light up when I push the test button I set the Tbrake and built boost but nothing lit up :( Looks like it could be a bad map sensor :(
How much is a new Map sensor??? the thing is only like 1 year old if that dosnt seem it should take a poop that fast :(

Thanks for the help as all ways you are the best! I just hope I can find the issue before spring!

Think positive. Probably something simple. Besides you got a new intercooler coming too! :eek:

Map sensor test.
Key "ON" three terminals on MAP
Gray= 5vdc
Green=signal=1.6vdc
Black= ground= zero DC

Pierce wires to test with sensor plugged in, engine not running.

If you get 1.6, using a small piece of vacuum hose, apply pressure on the nipple. If you blow on it, should go to 1.7-1.8.

If thats OK.. then confirm inside the car on my PAC controller green wire same readings.

I had a customer called me Wed this week.. they used crimp connectors and had a bad crimp. Same problem.

Want to do a quick test on the PAC.. unhook hose from nozzle and place into container, Ignition ON, unplug MAP sensor and using a paper clip/piece of wire/etc.. jump the gray to green terminals on the MAP sensor. This simulates 30 PSI boost and the pump should run strong.

If it passes the above test, you have 5 volts on the gray wire and nothing on the green.. then your MAP sensor is bad. I have only seen 1 bad 3 bar. And typically its rotten terminals on connector or user wiring issues.

Lastly, cars with working factory LED boost guages.. using a 3 bar, at 7 PSI it will lite the 1 PSI mark. In other words, a 3 bar converts your 0-15PSI guage into a 7-30 PSI guage.

One more.. Brian a year ago had a car with the plastic tube leading from the intake to the map had a split underneath it. So it was bleeding off air and not letting the MAP get proper signal.

20 year old car.. 20 year old tubing.

New problem :(
Dosnt appear the system is working at all !
Dont know how I have been getting no knock but I was working on the car today and put in my new front mount :) when I got the car all back to geather I fired it up, let warm up and locked the t-brake and built some boost to check for leaks with a buddy he about jumped out of his cloths when the alky jug started shooting Alky 12" in the air!

We ran all the test erlier in the week and found nothing wrong :(

I am so lost and am totaly not very good the electrical end of things :(

Your having problems. You need to make the time and call me. Posting doesnt fix your issues. You still have not made the time and called, yet you continue to have issues.

Either call or take the car to someone to work on it that will pickup the phone and call.

Easy deal really.. but complaining without action doesnt make a problem "go away".

If you dont have long distance calling abilities, send me your phone number via Email and i'll call you.

Your killing me.. :redface:

Thanks to Julio my problem is solved! Pump took a poop but he fixed it up and its all back up and running and he also threw in some updates to the system! Great customer service!

Julio your Decals left yesterday buddie! Let me know what you think :)
