I got my new Razor alky kit installed. I hit the test button and the turn on led and power injection lights both came on. So, I put some alky in and took it out. I had the gain knob on four but when I got up to five pounds boost the power injection light didn't come on.

it comes on real low at first, then the more you get on it the brighter it gets. Did the on led turn red then green? Does the car bog down when you push the test button at idle?

Yes the car does bog down when you push the test button at idle. No the turn on led didn't come on either (Sorry, I forgot to mention that) I didn't want to run 10 psi to see if it turned green.

sounds like he pump is working! That's good news.

you may have the initial turn on turned down, inside the PAC box. I'd check that first and make sure it's set to the initial setting that razor recommends.

then go from there.

ozo8,check the green wiring connections to the 3bar map and to the in car controller.you also should be able to boost to 10psi no problem with out the alky even on,i would leave the internal controls alone to you check the wiring.

he is absolutly right. I remember in the instructions it says to check the power to the map sensor before the test drive. maybe check the vac line to the sensor for leaks or bad connections too.

I tend to check the Map sensor with compressed air if they are in question

if the car bogs when you increase the pressure then it's working.

Ok so why not bring it up to 10psi or 15 and see what happens, you should be able to run 15psi on pump gas right?

If the button is causing the car to richen up and bog then most likely the kits working and you're freaking out for no reason.
And doesn't Julio recommend the gain knob higher than 4?

Take the boost up to 10 PSI and see if it turns on. If your car cant run 10 PSI on pump gas you have other issues.

You have a scanmaster to watch knock... if you dont get any knock, your on the right path. At 10 PSI it better not show any knock with or without alky.
