Looks like there is a bill to try and make 1990 and prior cars with collector car insurance be exempt from the biannual smog checks. I have doubts that it will actually happen but it would be nice if it did.

Good luck California! Hope Jay comes through for ya

Yeah good old Gavin will make sure this happens. HAHAHA what a joke. I cant wait to leave this Hell Hole.

Im not holding my breath. I still remember when it was supposed to be a rolling 20 years. Needless to say it went about 1 year form 1974 to 1975 and they changed their minds.

Looks like it is going to be voted on in committee soon. Some changes to the bill; that no classic car insurance needed but should be not a daily driver.

I'm old and jaded enough these days to not expect that the State of CA, BAR or CARB are going to do anything that will benefit car enthusiasts. Sound negative but just been real. 😞 When it comes to this kind of stuff the glass is indeed half empty.

That is the most likely way this will go but since this has some celebrity push behind it there is more chance. Committee vote looks to be the 8th; hopefully it makes it past that at least. Truthfully I would gladly pay a smog abatement fee like the newer cars if it meant no smog needed.
