Thanks again for all your help and the methanol kit.

I ended up putting an intercooler on the truck anyway due to excessive methanol use to keep the super hot IATs down. Now with the intercooler and the methanol I am able to run 13psi with no problems at 19deg of timing on our crappy 91octane here in Ca. I also use VERY little meth. After over 20 WOT passes and daily driving I am still only at half a tank (aprox. 1ga tank)

I recently ran a best of 12.33@110mph 1.85 60' with a race weight of 5250lbs!! That's pretty damn good for a rear mount turbo kit, slipping tranny, and 2 cylinders are down on pressure due to some water ingestion a few weeks prior...

You're kit really helps us Ca. guys whoo have crap for gasloine!

My best time was on about 14.5psi and a 65ft. DA.

Just to think a few months ago you started and things have been taking off for you.

I agree on the IC issue, it drops your consumption down big time. Not that it cant be done, but with much less.

The water ingestion was part because of the rear turbo and part due to stupid over confidence. I tried going WOT in high boost after driving for 2 hours in a monsoon style rain storm. My air filter is oversized from what STS provides and I found out that it sits right in the gap between my bed and cab and all the rain from the roof drips right onto it when you slow down.

The other day I decided since the motor is already hurt I would test the kit they way STS sends it. It was raining real bad so I stuck the smaller filter back on along with the "sock" and kept it in low boost and floored it all around town and had zero issues. I'm buying their snorkle kit which relocates the filter so I don't have to worry about water with my big filter and high boost anymore.

The system worked fine on meth only and I really didn't gain much with the IC except that I could use much less methanol now. Pretty wild that the meth could keep me from detonation at 13psi and 230deg IATs!!

I'm hoping to make a magazine in the next month or so and after that I'll b doing a 6.0L with forged pistons and anything that will help me handle 18psi or about 650rwhp.

I'll be sure to mention AlkyControl if I make the mag.
