First of all the track was jammed. Then on my second pass before the 1/8th my SM showed 19.9* KR! I lifted, looked in the mirror and saw a ton of smoke. Coasted back to the pits and the inner fenders - especially the passenger side - were covered in oil. (Luckily for the other racers I only put a couple of drops on the track.)
The engine was idling poorly so I starting pulling plug wires and the #4 cylinder is dead. A mechanic at a TR specific shop came out and thinks it is just a head gasket - both the oil and coolant look good so we'll see. Any one else have any ideas on what it may be?
If the heads have to come off I may bite the bullet and have Champion irons put on. The run ended up being a 13.22 @ 75.7 - the first time I ever lost mph from the 1/8th to the 1/4 and I still beat the Harley I was next to.

Any further problems will be apparent once the heads are off. I'd spend some time finding out what caused the knock in the first place.

g'luck.
