It's time to have my rear fillers repainted. I already took the bumper off.
After doing a search,it looks like the taillights have to come out.

Are there any tricks to getting these fillers off?

Should they both come off hooked together?

I just don't want to ruin anything.

Thanks!

The taillights do need to come off, they cover 3 nuts above each side of the filler, there are four nuts attaching each side to the rear quarters also. Remove the 2 lisense plate holder 10mm bolts and 2 phillips screws and they are ready to take off. There is a clip that hold the two fillers together in the middle, cut it if necessary to seperate them or be very careful when you remove it.

If they are the original fillers they may fall apart even if they look good, so be very careful. I recommend paint them on the car if orig.

I concur. All good advice.
