mine is 1/4" larger gap on one side than the other. I'd have to shift the body by half that amount , or 1/8", to get the body alignment centered over the rear axle.. You can see how impractical that would be at the factory.
When I lift the body to install the "#5 GNX" bushing in rear, a gentle shove should center it.

Why go through all of the drama of different wheels or axles? Loosen up the body mounts and scoot the body over. IT IS AMAZINGLY SIMPLE. Just loosen the bolts, you don't even have to take them out to center the body. It's alot easier (and FREE!) than different wheels or axles.

Do it right and forget about it.

I have tried it it did'nt move much and the posi is worn out anyway.Ill get the axels with the GM bolt pattern no big deal there plus you get the big brakes with the nine inch so it should be able to hold more boost.I put 9 inche fords in a nova and camero and liked them alot ....

Im going to try what you said and see what happens. Thanks for the reply.

andy111, why are you buying a 9"? Are you planning on going low 9's or faster? Just curious because the stock rear end is just about as strong (and MUCH lighter and robs less hp)
