I have oil leaking down on my exhaust . Is smokes once the car gets hot .I think it is the rear main seal . I had the same problem on another car of mine .
How do I make sure its the RMS and can it be replaced without pulling the motor . The person that is going to help me wants to know if it can be "slipped in with out removing everything? What else would have oil run across the bottom of the oil pan and transmission

You can do it in the car but make sure its that. The oil pump, valve covers & a few others can leak & drip down then blow back there. Turbo Regal Web Site has a good article to replace the seal if needed.

Make sure the valve covers are tight. They are notorious for loosening and leaking oil to what would look like a rear main seal.
