What can I use to protect my lower rear quarter panels from getting chipped at the track. My last car got pretty chipped up from doing burn-outs in the water box. My paint is new and I show my car but I also want to race it.

TIA,
-Allen

I have seen 3M advertise a clear film that can be applied to various body parts to protect them for chips... mostly on the front but dont see why not for quarter panels...

I don't remember if it was Kirban's or Poston's that advertised some sort of quarter panel saver that attaches (magnet?) to the rear quarters to prevent rock chips, and hot rubber from damaging the paint.

I once bookmarked this, thinking it could be useful :

but I have no actual experience with it.

There's a similar product called "Burnout Buddy", I think Jegs & Summit sell it.

This is gonna sound stupid but...

I used a couple of "crazy carpet" plastic sleds and some speaker magnets. Cheap but effective...

Burnout buddies & any other plastic protction will not be allowed at the strip.
Another TR owner here sprays his quarter pannels with Pam for the strip.
