Rearend Help

I know where to get anything else, but who makes a nice rearend for an 87 with a disk rear . im not looking for the greatest thing on earth and i dont feel like spending 2g's but if anyone can help me i would greatly appriciate

I don't think there is a bolt-in disc rear for G-Bodies....at least not an 8.5" 10-bolt. Best thing to do would be just get an 8.5" rear, add aftermarket axles, have the tubes welded, get a T/A Performance rear cover and a few other odds and ends. If necessary, rebuild the posi and put a new set of GM 3.42's in it, and leave the drum brakes on it, just rebuild 'em. They are better suited to holding boost at the line, the discs won't hold as well.

But if you have a trans brake....then forget the rear drums. There are several companies that make bolt-on rear disc brake kits, but they aren't necessarily cheap.
