Rearend question

This is for you ford 9'' guys. Im sure some of you run them in your TB's. Will a spool for a 9" rear end also work for a 8"? The reason I ask....I havent been able to find any spools for a 8" and since the rearends are very similiar I thought maybe they are interchangable. I could be way off...and probably am....but hopefully someone can point me in the right direction on where to find a 8" spool. It's kinda sad when I have to go to the buick board to find out this ford question....but you buick guys always come through for me. More knowledgeable than anyone out there =)
