I had my tranny rebuilt a year ago and it seemed to be working fine on the street until I took it to the track. When I'm at WOT, the 2-3 upshift comes so late that I actually hit the rev-limiter deep into redline. I can't adjust this at the tranny cable. I was wondering if there is some little trick that needs to be done to the tranny during a total rebuild. Can anyone give me any ideas as to anything particular that needs to done to a 200-4R during a rebuild. My tranny guy says he will adjust this problem for me tomorrow (Tuesday) but I would like him to do it right.
Thanks,
Mike

the only fix for this is good rebuilding procedures and dual feeding the direct clutch.this is a special modification we do to triple clutch apply area in third gear by using the extra oil accumulated behind the reverse piston to multiply clutch clamping forces.this makes up for oil lost during normal operation in the form of internal inherent leaks furnishing performance and durability.dont do it without a good forward drum or else.if the builder wants to know how to do it have him call me.ill help.

I am not doubting an experienced builder but I thought the governor could be responsible for this type of problem and the duel feed helps solve the 2-3 flair???
