Here's my O2s worth.
With technology ever evolving, combos tend to change as fast as you can change the channel with your tv remote. Here are some combos that I would tell people when I was a salesman for PTE. Now, I will assume that the car you are starting with has already had the spring cleaning done and is in tip top running condition. IE compression test showed matching numbers within 10% on all 6 cylinders and no fluid leaks. This would be for all '86-'87 Turbo Buicks.

Now, this amount of parts is typically what it would take to have a reliable 12 second recipe. There are many who have run into the 12's with fewer parts, but eventually, every setup will have these parts on their car if they intend on going faster and reliably. With this setup, you will be able to tune for the octane and boost that you plan on running, adjust the boost and fuel pressure levels, as well as having custom burned chips for racing conditions. It is advised that if your stock injectors have high mileage (over 100K miles) that you either have them cleaned or replaced with larger injectors. Don't forget to have the chips matched to your injectors. The slicks will provide the best traction for a stock car with stock wheels. Obviously you can go with after market wheels and larger slicks or drag radials, however bang for the buck the 26x8.5 slicks are hard to beat.
11 Second recipe.
- Stock location air to air intercooler $700.00 - $900.00

- Driveshaft pinion snubber $23.00
- Kirbans front frame, under hood and rear seat braces $150.00
- 9" to 10" lockup or non lockup torque converter (match to turbo) $425.00 - $950.00

Now, with these parts you will have the capability of running deep into the low 11's @ 118-122 mph with either pure C16 race gas or pump gas with alky. You will have the best traction and suspension pieces as well as full datalogging and tuning capabilities. You will have plenty of fuel injector to support more hp than the PT6152S turbo can provide and most aftermarket stock location intercoolers can support up to 800 fwhp. There are other things you can do to help lighten the car, IE fiberglass hood and bumpers, aluminum bumper brackets and skinny 15x3.5 front rims and tires. Ported iron heads or aluminum heads will also help as well as a good street camshaft, but these parts are not mandatory to reach low 11's. All of the parts listed in both combos are tried and proven. Again, some have gone faster with fewer parts but I feel that all of these parts work very well together to make for a reliable 12 or 11 second combo. Tuning is absolutely the most important aspect to any combo or recipe and you don't need a super huge 70 series turbo to reach 11.00s. Remember, detonation kills these motors and don't skimp on safety if you are running faster than 11.49. IE: 6 point roll bar, fire jacket and pants, racing harness belts, obviously a certified helmet, metal valve stems, c-clip eliminators and longer wheel studs are all required by NHRA at this level.
Hope some of this helps and sorry so long.
