Sent an email to American Airlines today and they sent me vouchers for the full price of the tickets I purchased on Orbitz to fly to Nashville. These were your usual non refundable tickets we all buy and there is usually a $150/ticket change-cancellation fee. Explained the flooding (which I know they're aware of) and the cancellation of the event. The vouchers are good for one year from today. They responded within a couple hours of my initial request.
Hope everyone is able to recoup the money the spent on reservations. Be diligent and don't settle for the first NO, I had no luck when I called orbitz who sold me the tickets.
