Hoping someone can help. My alky low fluid light stays on all the time. I pulled the float out of the washer bottle and verified the plastic white float on the end operates as normal. The float assembly is grounded and there's a tan wire that splits off. I can operate the float manually but the light stays red. Anyone else have this issue and know how to fix it? I assume the float completes the ground but I'm guessing. It's an alkycontrol kit

The switch you can ohm out. Should be open when the tip is up, and shorted when the tip is down.. meaning horizontal.

What I have seen in the past, upon installing the kit.. if someone puts power to the tan wire, it fuses the switch. Once the switch is fused.. it no longer operates as it shows shorted

Thanks Julio, the float was physically cracked and had to be replaced. All is better now.
