reliable cams

I have done a search and have not found an answer so....

I want to add a cam to my new motor but i not sure if i want to spend so much money on a roller cam. alot of people say its the only reliable way to go but its also alot of money. i dont want to wipe a cam so who makes good non roller cams?

Depending on your preferance on the size of the cam, three good flat tappet(sp) cams are

Speed Pro 204/214
ATR 313b
Modern Muscle 208/208

Or the 206/206 is also a decent cam. If the cam is broken in correctly, and assuming you have no major oil leaks while running the car that could starve it of oil, it will be pretty dependable.
