Relocate antenna

I am going to repaint my car in the spring. I am looking to take my broken antenna out and weld up the hole. Well what can I do for a antenna I know about the one built in the windshield. Is there a way to run one up the a post? Any other ideas that have worked for you?

Try the metra 44ua20 it's a universal glass mount/hide away amplified antenna.It has an easy one wire hookup and works great.I have used them in many different vehicles that I have built through the years.
