Removing gutters

I'm having my hard top Regal painted but part of the deal is that I have to have the car stripped before they pick it up. I was wondering if anyone has experience in removing the gutters along the roof and a pillar or do they just stay on and get masked off?

if you are talking about the drip rail above the door windows you have to pull the window rubber out , under that there is a track that the rubber is in, you need to remove the screws and take that piece of, then there are screws that hold the trim piece i think you are talking about
