I'm dropping the rear end out of the car tomorrow. What do I need to remove first, the shocks or the control arms? Which one is actually holding the thing up? Anything else I need to be concerned with when doing this? Thanks :)

shocks
springs
driveshaft
brake line at the brass block
parking brake....the hardest part of the whole job
upper arm bolt
lower arm bots

On the parking brake cables, when I dropped my rear, I removed the brake shoes and pushed the cables out of the backing plates. Not very difficult.

On my 70 GS, I didn't have to mess with the brake shoes. I could separate the brake cable and leave the rest attached to the backing plate. I'm not sure how to separate the cable on a TR. Looked more difficult, hence the brake shoe removal method.
