How much does it change (lower) the value of a TR when you change from the original color that the car came. My car originally was white with the blackout pkg, and i am the original owner. Thinking of changing the color when i repaint, but not sure yet. What do you guys think?

Stay with the original color scheme. I think a white TR, with good paint, shows off the lines better than any other combination. Don't know what effect a color change would have on the value of the car, but personally, I wouldn't buy one that has been changed.

Thanks for the reply!! I will probably keep the white. It looks good with the blackout, plus their were only 2300 or so white t-types in 1986.

Keep it the same. It's way too much work to change the color properly and too expensive and personally I wouldn't bother with a color changed car. If you want a different color buy a n/a regal with the color you want or at least a good body and go to town and just swap in a tr drivetrain. Won't affect the value except increase it...

you can go with a pearl white. It will liven the car up a little and then you really don't have to worry about doing any of the jambs. I'm going to be painting a 41 chevy next week and I'm using a 2008 GM color called platinum ice pearl. In the day it looks white with some nice sparkle, at night it seems to look silver. Next TR I buy is getting a pearl white paint job, looks awesome with black trim and tinted windows. Just a thought.
