Question: I have never replaced my drive shaft. The car has 142k on it, and when I accelerate through 60 I do get some vibration. I would think the joints might be worn out. What would be a good replacement given my combo below?

Why not just replace the U-joints if they're the problem.

Personally, I'd make sure the pinion nut didn't back out, the wheels and tires run true, and everything else is tight before I just bought a drive shaft and stuck it in.

good u joints will set you back about $50 for both of them and any shop would charge about an hour of labor to put them in.. or pull the shaft out and take it to a local driveline shop to put new joints in and balance it..
either way it's going to cost about the same..
or swap them in yourself- it's not that hard, you just gotta pay attention to all the little needles... you can do it with a hammer and a few sockets, a big c clamp, or a bench vise.. but i love my balljoint press for jobs like this...

Had the same problem with the vibration. Took the shaft out, took it to a drive line specialist to get new U-joints and balanced. Was not costly at all and it fixed my problem!

Ok thank you. I have. Shop close to me called pst, and according to Julio at Alkycontrol they are top notch. I am going to a heck them out and will report back what I find. Thanks again for all of your expert advice.
