One of my lines is about ready to blow. Long story:redface: Anyways, after pricing new lines, I have decided to go with SS lines and AN fittings b/c I have a bunch of extra line.

My question is this: The stock line connects to the pump and steering box and uses fittings with o-rings. Is there an AN fitting out there to replace these?

TIA!

They have adapter fittings with o-rings installed. Russel and Earl's I'm sure have them.

DON'T USE ALUMINUM FITTINGS ON THE PRESSURE SIDE! They won't hold the kinds of pressures that pump is cable of generating. You need either steel or stainless fittings. Also you need to use the braided line that is approved for that pressure rating, which most stainless lines aren't. Call Earl's, Russel's, or Aeroquip's help line and figure out what they recommend for the application.

Thanks for the heads up:)

You will need at least 1 18MM x 1.5 and 1 16MM x 1.5 O-ring fitting for the steering box. I can't remember what the pump fitting is but I think it's the large 18MM. Try russell or aeroquip. You can use powerflex from russell or teflon lined AQP or blue fabric aeroquip hoses. I went the easy/cheap route and took the fittings to an hydrauilic shop and they made the hoses for me. HTH

Like MIB is suggesting, I used Russell -6 Power Flex Hose when installing a hydroboost brake system on my own car. If you are just doing a pressure line to your steering box you will need the following Russell part numbers:
Qty. (1) 648060 -6 an to 16mm x 1.5 adapter
Qty. (1) 648060 -6 an to 18mm x 1.5 adapter
Qty. (2) 620421 -6 90 degree hose ends
Desired length of -6 powerflex hose

The 16mm adapter was aluminum at the time I bought mine. All other fittings are nickel plated steel.

HTH,
Robert
