Has anyone purchased the reproduction Powermaster reservoir from Kirban...I believe they are manufactured by Cardone...just wanted to see if anyone had the problems that I did...I purchased 2 of the reservoirs...thought it would look nice on my show GN to have a nice white reservoir...well I installed the reservoir with no problems...bled everything then went to put the
reservoir cover on...this is where I ran into some major problems...normally I just set the cover on top of the reservoir...grab the entire reservoir/cover with my hands and snap in on...never had any problems with OEM stuff...but when I tried snapping the cover on the repro reservoir the lip of reservoir bent downwards and cracked...after trying a few times I did get all the clips on the cover to fit under the lip but the cover was sitting crooked...I decided to check the cover against the other repro reservoir I had bought and found that the circumference of the reservoir lip is just too big and the cover would never fit...another problem was when I went to remove the reservoir since it was unusable as it was cracked so bad...when I tried prying it loose from the master cylinder and the 2 big rubber grommets the plastic nipples on the bottom of the reservoir broke off...the plastic being used for the reservoir seems to very soft and cracks easy as compared to the OEM one which appears to ba very hard rigid plastic...I'm wondering if anyone else ran into this problem...I contacted Kirbans and the response was that they had never seen this before...up front I just want to say I'm not trying to trash a vendor...I just want to find out if I'm the only one that got defective reservoirs...has anyone installed one of these and had the cover fit with no cracking problems?
