I did the restoration that is in the how to's section and it looks unreal. The steering wheel looks like new. I still need to find out how it wears but as of now it looks great.

The pictures don't do it any justice. Either they were too dark or the flash made the wheel to bright. The wheel is solo smooth and looks amazing. My wife is even amazed and she hates everything about the car. She thought I was nuts for doing it and now she is in shock on how well it turned out. So am I. I could hand you the wheel and you wouldn't be able to tell where the bad spots were. The spots where I put on the super glue are just as soft as the rest of the wheel. Just like painting a car that the prep work is the most important part. Even if the paint wears off in a year all I have to do is scuff it with 600 grit sand paper and paint it again.

Can't find it - got a link?

I can't post a link right now. I am at the Colts/Browns game and I don't know how to do links on my phone.

If you the "Tech area" Mobile app only I think
Then "general turbo Buick tech"
Then "how to"
Scroll through a few pages and it is
"how to repair your leather wrap steering wheel"

If you have nicks and cracks you can sand down the wheel and fill in the bad spots with super glue (I used Locktite 414). Just put it on in thin layers until you have a slightly raise glue surface and the sand it smooth. I used 600 grit sand paper on e I had it close to flush. Then I cleaned the leather with denatured alcohol. I then went to Napa and got color matched spray paint. When I get home I will post the PPG paint code I used. It is a interior paint so it is a satin finish and I love it. I put on three light coats.

With a remanned wheel costing $220 the $30 bucks is spent are well worth the chance that I may have to repaint it in a couple years. I will try to get the car out in the sun when I get home so I can some good pictures.

Game is starting gotta go!!!!!
