Restricted Washer in place of Thermostat?

Moroso sells different size washers to restrict flow for not running a thermostat. I am running an electric water pump and am thinking of using a aluminum washer in place of the thermostat to keep operating temps a little higher than not running a t-stat at all. The car is mainly street driven. Other option would be to keep the thermostat and drill holes in it.

From what I have read Meziere recommends not using a t-stat with there pumps.

Anyone ever done this or have any suggestions.

Thanks Brandon.

I cut out center section of thermostat & have been running with that for several years with good results. Most say you must have some restriction; don't run with nothing there.

been using an aluminum washer with a 3/4-7/8 hole for several years works great, also have the Meziere pump

F-body rad. Meziere pump, the rest stockstuff. Will cool down idling in staging, never have aproblem with temps unless I forget to turn pump on. In Texas
