I have a question. I'm starting to tune in some power with my new build and I know Bison has some experience with this so I can learn more.

I have and took out a Bruce Trans 9/11 3,700 stall. It's a nice piece. It stalled 3,700 at 0 boost. My problem which might not be the convertor is after I started turning up the power the transmission would 6,000+ rpm and not shift on the street above 21 psi boost with tire spin. At the track it worked ok with no spin at 24 psi. My 9/11 is stamped 3,700 stall with my name and they did not lie! Exactly that! It's old school so trying to figure out the new convertors.

I tried to order a PTC convertor but was 6+ months back ordered. So instead I got a Rev X 9.5 lockup.

What I'm experiencing is at 0 boost it's about 1,800 stall and flash with boost is 2,900. I know these convertors are tight then not then tight. What am I supposed to expect with this convertor in about the 600 hp range? Something wrong or is this how they work?

I'm using a Precision 62/66 Next Gen ball bearing turbo.

I’d call Mike from full throttle and ask him they are his converters

can you post the build info.
Sure. This is it. It's build to be about a 10.6 car. 9's long term but short term mid 10.s. I couldn't get my 4.1 stroker forget short block done quite yet. I have a bone stock short block in it temporary. Fully ported/polished Precision Turbo heads. It's maxed. The heads have been shaved to remove the old groove head gaskets to be flat. With a single shim RJC Racing single shim head SS gasket with ARP head studs. About 9:1 compression. 218/218 Comp cams flat tappet. Fully ported Champion middle intake. Fully ported upper with a ported 62mm throttle body. RJC street front mount. RJC intake plate. Reds Double Pumper with new pumps. 62/66 gen 2 ball bearing turbo. 50lb injectors which are already maxed at 17 psi. LS1 3.5" maf, Extender chip for 91 octane (15 degrees WOT), Razor progressive alchy kit in a box needs installed. The trans is a Dave Barns built high 10 trans (same as Ken's cars were back when), the convertor we speak of, 3" SS THDP, 3" single shot ATR race exhaust, stock rear, 50lb injectors which are 96% at 17 psi and to small, and what else?

The ultimate build is not completed but that is the currentish state.

It seems the convertor on not the engine behind it. She's tight at 1,800 rpm but flashes solid to about 2,900 rpm. It seems to lock both rpms.

The engine is breathing 415 Air flow at 17 psi.
