Rivetted in door guards

Hi All,

A good friend of mine picked up a T with the middle of the doors guards that prevent door dings....(yeah right....lol) and he wants to get the car painted and takle off the guards.

When we looked at it the guards are pop rivetted in. Has anyone taken these off and whats the best way of going about getting them out??

hey

well im in the process of getting my car ready for paint. i tackled this already and all u have to do is take a drill and a small drill bit and drill them out. then weld or you can silver sorder them in. i silver sordered them in and put some bondo over them. silver doesnt rust.
