RJC Power Plate EGR Question

Im about to install a power plate on my TTA. If i leave the Egr as is "stock" and install the plate without drilling the hole will i have any problems?
Or throw any Codes?

i just put one on my pretty much stock 87 GN and havent had any codes or problems yet... i didnt drill a hole and all of the EGR stuff is still hooked up and complete.

so my guess is no.

From what little I know, it's not throwing codes that you should be concerned with - it's knock at midrange from not having a working EGR.
I think.
If the hole isn't there, you don't have a functional EGR.(?)
Some chips don't need it, so maybe you should check with your chip burner first.
Not real sure on this, but would like to save you from doing it twice.

If you have to go through any king of emissions test you are going to need the EGR function to work. Plus, the 3/8 hole required is way smaller than the EGR port is in the manifold. Restrictor anyways?

I had the same question so I e-mailed Eric TURBO TWEAK and he did not burn the egr function into my chip so I kept it closed. Also it has passed emisions about 3 times when I had it blocked off with the plenum spacer. He did say if i was to remove all the egr "stuff" he could reburn the chip to ignore the trouble codes.
