Hey fellas, just ordered this for my Gn. I have a stock plenum. Was just curious if its just remove, install plate and reassemble or if fabrication is needed or anything needs to be removed. Thanks

I installed mine about 12 or 13 years ago and if i remember correctly thats all i did. Haven't touched it since.

Be careful installing the stock rear bolts back in the plenum with the plate in place. Not much thread holding them & is very easy to strip. A lot of buick members (including myself) have installed studs in these two rear locations in order to prevent this & gives a secure method of tightening things down.

You will need to drill a hole in the plate over where the EGR tower is in the intake manifold. I don't remember the size, but maybe 1/4". I had no issues with the bolts making up with the plate on, but some folks do have issues with it. If you bought it new from RJC, it will have instructions. Very easy mod to take care of.

Easy install. I can't remember if gaskets come with it. You will need two.

Mine came with gaskets. Also make sure you install it in the right orientation, RJC logo should face up IIRC.

So some of you got away with install without putting in studs? I've had my rjc plate for months just collecting dust. Laziness i guess

I was the only stud involved with my plate install!!! It's been awhile, but I remember checking it & having plenty of thread sticking out of the bottom for engagement. 2-3 threads should be plenty to hold the plenum to the intake.

I just installed one this spring. Very easy. I did not have to install studs either but I know my bolts were not stock so were probably longer. It will come with 2 gaskets and with the bolt pattern, only fits 1 way. If you EGR has been disabled you will not have to drill anything. Jason's a great guy to do business with for sure!
