Anyone running rocker studs? My car had them installed alongside a hardened shaft and saddles. They worked fine until just recently. I don't know if tightened down the valve cover too much but the tops of the studs interfered with the top of the valve covers. Ended up cracking my driver side valve cover due to the clearance issue. This wasn't an issue before having the heads cleaned and modified for the roller setup. I don't see how that would make the bolt sit higher then before unless the Valve cover surface was shortened.

Just curious if anyones had this issue before? I don't see a benefit to running the studs anyway so went with stock bolts. SteveV has pictures of this problem hopefully he'll post.

Just to elaborate, the pics are not the best. The two center studs stuck up slightly more than the ends. No the machine shop did not touch the valve cover surface or the rocker peda-stills. Someone pre--Xavier installed these. I did not have the correct stuff home to shorten the studs so we just used some rocker shaft bolts...somebody broke one:p Not me either. But all 3 studs put marks on the inside of the valve covers. Glad we caught this on the stand.
