rockers question

my 87 GN with stock engine has 65,000 miles on it. i was replacing the vavle covers and notice some of the stock rocker arms have side to side movement, no up or down movement tho ? whats wrong

Nothing's wrong. Just make sure all of the orange looking nylon retainers are still intact. They tend to get brittle over time and may be wallered out and eventually break. A little side to side movement is perfectly normal. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
