I can't find a spec for the big end of the stock connecting rods. Power Source blue print sheet example shows them at 2.3741, but doesn't have the specs.

Is there a common target dimension when having them resized?

Also, how close are the name brand bearings (I'm leaning toward the Federal Mogal)? Is it necessary to match them up with the saddles and journals or are they within .0001 from bearing to bearing and batch to batch?

Tyvm,
Tom

Rod Big Size

2.3738"- 2.3745"

First the rods should to see if there out of round as well as find your ID.

I,ve had good luck with the FM bearings but I would measure the crank journals first, then measure each rod with the bearing installed before you assemble the short block, if you don,t have the proper tools take to someone that does.

The book I use shows .0018"-.0022" rod clearance, .0020" is a good number to shoot for.

9sec.
