rod length?

Does anyone know what the con rod length is for a 181 (3.0l) Buick? Is the big end the same diameter as the 231/252? Have some ideas brewin for the Vega.

The 3.0 uses a 6.33" connecting rod. The 3.2, 3.8 (even)and 4.1 use 5.96". All have a rod journal diameter of 2.25"

V-6 Performance by Pat Ganahl has a lot of good info on the "other" Buick V6's.

Thanks for the info. Does that book also have the piston pin diameters and more importantly, the pin height for a 4.1L? I am trying to get more compression out of my 4.1 but don't really want to spend big bucks on J&E's or other custom pistons. The deck height is like .085" so there is PLENTY of room to mess around. What about a bore to 4.00 and using a SBC piston? It would be neat but again looking for a least expensive option for more compression.
